This Privacy Policy explains how BARBARIAN GOLD® collects, uses, stores, discloses, and protects personal data when you visit our online store, place an order, use customer accounts, contact us, subscribe to communications, leave reviews, use discount or ambassador codes, or otherwise interact with us.

- Personal data we process
Depending on how you use our store, we may process name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, customer account data, order data, payment status, transaction references, products ordered, discount codes, refund and return data, customer support messages, review content, consent choices, cookie identifiers, IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, cart and checkout activity, referral data, marketing preferences, affiliate or ambassador attribution data, and fraud-prevention information.
We do not intentionally store full payment card details in our own systems.
- Purposes and legal bases
For customers in the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and similar jurisdictions, we process personal data on the following legal bases: contract performance, legal obligations, legitimate interests, and consent where required.
We process data to handle orders, payments, delivery, returns, refunds, customer support, customer accounts, tax and accounting duties, customs documentation, fraud prevention, store security, consent records, marketing where permitted, reviews, and affiliate or ambassador attribution.
- Shopify and store infrastructure
Our store is hosted and operated using Shopify. Shopify processes personal data to provide ecommerce infrastructure, checkout, payment-related functions, security, fraud prevention, analytics, customer privacy tools, and related services.
In some situations Shopify may process personal data as our processor, and in other situations as an independent controller for its own services, security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and enhanced services.

- Cookies, consent, analytics, and advertising
We use necessary technologies to operate the store, keep it secure, remember cart contents, process checkout, prevent fraud, manage consent, and provide core functionality.
Optional preferences, analytics, marketing, advertising, and attribution technologies are used only where permitted by law and, where required, after consent.
Our cookie banner allows customers to accept all optional technologies, reject optional technologies, or manage categories. Cookie preferences can be changed later through the Cookie preferences link where available.
Our store may use Shopify Customer Privacy tools and consent signals. The store may also prepare Google Consent Mode v2 signals so supported Google tags can receive consent states for analytics, advertising, ad user data, ad personalization, functionality, personalization, and security.
Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, affiliate tracking, or similar third-party tracking tools are used only if they are actually configured in the store or through an installed app and, where legally required, only after consent.
- Reviews and user-generated content
We may use review tools, where enabled, including Judge.me or similar providers, to collect, verify, moderate, and display product reviews, ratings, photos, and related review information.
If you submit a review, we may process your name, email address, review text, rating, photos, order information used to verify the review, IP address, device information, and review metadata.
Reviews may be displayed publicly in our store and may be used for product presentation and marketing, subject to applicable law and the review platform’s settings.
- Affiliate, ambassador, creator, and discount-code attribution
BARBARIAN GOLD® may work with affiliates, ambassadors, creators, or similar partners who receive commission when their code, referral link, or attribution method leads to a qualifying sale.
If you use such a code or link, we may process attribution data such as the code used, referral source, order reference, order date, order value, country or region, refund status, chargeback status, commission status, and fraud-prevention signals.
We use this data to apply discounts, attribute sales, calculate and verify commissions, prevent abuse, process payouts, keep accounting records, and evaluate campaign performance.
We limit partner reporting to information reasonably necessary for these purposes and do not intentionally disclose full payment details or unnecessary customer contact details to ambassadors.
The exact commission rate is not part of this Privacy Policy and is governed by the separate agreement or program terms between BARBARIAN GOLD® and the relevant partner.
- Email marketing and communications
If you subscribe to marketing emails or otherwise give consent, we may send product news, offers, and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us.
Transactional emails, such as order confirmations, shipping updates, customer service replies, and legal notices, may be sent independently of marketing consent where necessary.
- Payments, shipping, customs, and service providers
We may share personal data with service providers where necessary, including Shopify, payment providers, shipping and fulfillment providers, customs or carrier services, email and customer support tools, review providers, consent tools, analytics and advertising providers where enabled and legally permitted, affiliate or ambassador administration tools, fraud-prevention services, IT hosting providers, tax advisors, accounting providers, and legal advisors.
For international deliveries, shipping providers, customs authorities, import processors, or local authorities may process personal data required for delivery and import handling.
- International transfers
Service providers may process data in Germany, the EU/EEA, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, and other countries. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards where required by law, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or other legally recognized mechanisms.
- Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for order processing, delivery, support, warranty and return handling, accounting, tax duties, customs documentation, fraud prevention, legal claims, consent records, affiliate or ambassador accounting, and mandatory retention periods.
